Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable use policy

Last updated: 26 May 2026 · Version 0.1

Plain English. Don’t use Unified Orders to do anything illegal, abusive, or destructive. Don’t spam your buyers. Don’t try to break the platform or other tenants. If we believe you’re doing any of these, we may suspend or terminate your account.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is incorporated into the Terms of Service. It applies to anyone who uses Unified Orders.

1. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use Unified Orders to:

  • Break any law that applies to you, your sellers, or your buyers.
  • Infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Process personal data without a lawful basis.
  • Sell or list goods that you are not legally permitted to sell.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, or any code intended to disrupt systems.
  • Engage in phishing, fraud, identity theft, or money laundering.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or send hateful messages to buyers or anyone else.
  • Send bulk unsolicited messages (spam), whether by email, channel messaging, WhatsApp, or any other means routed through the platform.
  • Misrepresent yourself, your business, or your products.

2. Platform integrity

You must not:

  • Attempt to interfere with, probe, scan, reverse-engineer, or test the vulnerability of the platform without our prior written consent.
  • Access or attempt to access another tenant’s data, accounts, or configurations.
  • Bypass rate limits, throttling, billing meters, or other technical controls.
  • Use credentials that don’t belong to you, or share your credentials with anyone outside your organisation.
  • Use the platform to mine cryptocurrency or perform other resource-intensive activities unrelated to its stated purpose.
  • Conduct security research against the platform without coordinating with us first — we’d rather hear from you than have you cause an incident. Email privacy@unifiedorders.com.

3. Channel and third-party terms

When you connect Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, or any other channel to Unified Orders, you remain bound by that channel’s own terms of service and policies. Using Unified Orders to do something a channel prohibits (for example, sending buyers unsolicited messages or scraping prohibited data) is your responsibility, not ours.

Similarly, when you use AI features, your prompts and the data you feed into them are subject to the AI provider’s own terms of service.

4. AI features

You must not use the platform’s AI features to:

  • Generate content that infringes intellectual property or defames anyone.
  • Impersonate a real individual without consent.
  • Send AI-generated messages that mislead buyers about whether they are speaking to a human (where the law in your jurisdiction requires disclosure).
  • Process special-category personal data without an appropriate lawful basis.

5. Reporting abuse

If you believe another user of Unified Orders is violating this AUP, email privacy@unifiedorders.com with as much detail as you can. We’ll investigate and act where appropriate.

6. Consequences of violation

Violations of this AUP may lead to: warning, content removal, suspension of the offending feature, suspension of the account, or termination of the agreement. Serious violations may result in immediate termination without notice. We may also be required to report violations to law enforcement or other authorities.
