Cookie policy

Last updated: 26 May 2026 · Version 0.1

Summary. The marketing site (this site) sets no cookies. The Unified Orders application (app.unifiedorders.com) sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies and uses browser storage for things like keeping you signed in and remembering UI preferences. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB — all of which store data in your browser. Throughout this policy we use “cookies” to mean all of these.

2. Cookies on the marketing site

This marketing site (unifiedorders.com) does not currently set any cookies of its own. Some third-party scripts loaded from CDNs may set technical cookies as part of how those CDNs operate; none of these are used for tracking or analytics.

3. Cookies and browser storage inside the app

When you sign in to app.unifiedorders.com we use the following:

Name / kindTypePurposeLifetime
Session / auth tokens Strictly necessary Keep you signed in. Without these you cannot use the platform. Short-lived access token (~15 min) + refresh token (30 days, or 365 days if you tick “keep me signed in”).
Tenant context Strictly necessary Remembers which tenant / workspace you’re currently signed in to (where you belong to more than one). Session.
UI preferences Functional Stores your light/dark mode preference, density, saved table views, sidebar collapse state. Persistent until you clear browser storage.
Cached data (IndexedDB) Functional TanStack Query persists cached API responses for faster page loads and offline tolerance. Persistent; cleared on sign-out for sensitive entities.
CSRF / security tokens Strictly necessary Protects against cross-site request forgery and replay attacks. Session.

4. Third-party cookies

The app loads resources from Cloudflare (CDN, TLS termination), Railway (hosting), and the sales channels you connect (for in-app authentication flows). These providers may set technical cookies for their own service operation. We do not control or read these cookies.

We do not embed advertising scripts, social media share widgets, or third-party analytics that set tracking cookies.

5. Cookie consent

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require user consent. Functional cookies are used only after you sign in to the service and are necessary for the platform to remember your settings.

If we add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking in the future, we will present a cookie consent banner first.

6. Controlling cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via their settings. Doing so will affect your use of the app — you will be signed out and lose stored preferences. If you block all cookies, you cannot use Unified Orders.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when we add new cookies or change how existing ones work. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
